Fine Artist:

A 1985 graduate of the duCret School of the Arts –
located at 1030 Central Avenue in the historic
section of Plainfield, New Jersey.

I have been painting watercolor landscapes for many years.
I find watercolor to be an on going challenge for me. I love
this medium which is so uncontrollable yet controlling. When
I paint I keep this quote in mind. Taken from the book of
"Complete Guide to Watercolor Painting",
by Edgar A. Whitney -

"the amateur is afraid of boldness;
the professional is afraid of timidity."

Lee W. Hughes has been my source of inspiration for
many years . I love the freedom his paintings have,
and they certainly are alive. Lee has no fear

In 2008 I studied figure composition with Joseph Peller
on the weekends in NYC at the Arts Students's League.
